FAQs ABOUT ADMISSIONS

Absolutely. Let’s rewrite that FAQ section from Open Christian University in the authentic, raw, Spirit-led voice of Revolution Bible College & Seminary (RBCS)—and fully tailor it to your structure, tone, and programs. The tone should feel real, accessible, anti-institutional but still clear and helpful—like a seminary run by spiritual rebels who still love Jesus deeply.

Here’s the RBCS Admissions FAQ (Draft 1):

Admissions FAQ

Welcome to the seminary for the rest of us.

Who can apply to RBCS?

If you’re hungry for more—and tired of religion that feels like a prison—you can apply.

We welcome:

  • Spiritual seekers and Jesus-followers
  • The deconstructed and the disillusioned
  • Pastors, poets, prophets, and punks
  • First-time students, second-chancers, and late bloomers

You don’t need perfect theology or a polished past.
You just need a willingness to grow.

Do I need a high school diploma or degree to apply?

Nope.
We believe in calling over credentials.

If you’ve got the grit, the hunger, and the fire—apply. We evaluate you holistically, and if you don’t have a diploma, you can still be accepted based on life experience and readiness.

Do you accept transfer credits from other schools?

Yes, we do.

We’ll evaluate your transcripts and previous coursework, especially from accredited or ministry-based programs. We also accept relevant life experience and ministry training through our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process.

Send us your transcripts—or your story—and we’ll walk through it together.

Do you recognize ministry experience or life learning for credit?

Absolutely. That’s what our RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) program is for.

If you’ve preached, planted churches, led recovery groups, discipled others, or done boots-on-the-ground ministry—we count that. You may be eligible for course credit or accelerated pathways based on your experience.

Are you accredited?

We are a legally recognized religious-exempt institution in the state of Florida, operating under the guidelines for religious education institutions. This allows us to offer faith-based theological training without government entanglement.

We are also an academic partner of Open Christian University (OCU), which provides international accreditation and program alignment. This partnership strengthens our offerings and gives students the option to earn dual-recognized credentials if needed.

Will my degree be accepted by other schools or employers?

RBCS is designed for ministry formation and spiritual leadership, not for secular credentialing. If you’re pursuing pastoral ministry, nonprofit leadership, missions, spiritual direction, or similar callings—our training equips you for that life.

For students who want to pursue further graduate study or denominational credentialing, we recommend checking with the organization you’re seeking to work with. Some schools accept religious-exempt or partner-accredited credits. Others may not. We’ll help you navigate your goals.

What if I don’t know what to study yet?

That’s okay.

Some people come with a clear sense of calling. Others are still healing from what church did to them. Either way, you’re welcome here.

You can start with a Certificate Program, take a class or two, or schedule a discernment session with our team to explore what fits.

How do I apply?

Start here → Apply Now

The application takes 10–15 minutes. There’s no fee. No essay required. No games.
We’ll read every answer. We’ll pray over every submission. And we’ll reach out if we need to chat.

Do you offer financial aid or payment plans?

Yes and yes.

Our tuition is just $100 per credit hour—already radically affordable.
But if finances are tight, we offer:

  • Flexible payment plans
  • Income-based options
  • Scholarship support for those called but under-resourced

How long do the programs take?

That depends on your pace.

We offer flexible learning, designed for people with jobs, families, and ministries.

  • Certificates: ~6–12 months
  • Associate: ~2 years (or faster with transfer/RPL)
  • Bachelor’s: ~3–4 years (or faster)
  • Master’s & Doctoral: ~1–3 years depending on the track

You can move fast or slow. We’ll walk with you.

Do I have to be Seventh-day Adventist to attend?

Nope.

RBCS is open to all who follow Jesus—or are still figuring that out.
We’re deeply shaped by the justice-rooted, Sabbath-honoring, holistic theology of Adventism, but we’re not gatekeepers.

If you love Jesus, or are haunted by hope that He might still be worth following—you belong here.

Do you offer classes online?

Yes—all of our classes are online.

We’re built for flexibility. Whether you’re in a big city, on a mission field, or raising babies at home, you can study wherever you are.

Some programs also include optional retreats or local meet-ups, because formation happens best in community.

Can I talk to someone before applying?

Absolutely. We’d love that.
